STELLA MACARTHUR
About the Artist
Stella is a scenic painter based in London.
She graduated from university in 2016, where she studied 3D Effects for Performance at the London College of Fashion.
In her degree Stella developed her skills in scenic painting and prop painting. The degree also taught her elements of prop making including sculpting, as well as moulding and casts using fibreglass and silicone. Stella got scenic painting work alongside her degree, working mostly for events and festivals to begin with.
In industry Stella has worked for film, television, theatre, immersive events and festivals, both painting and prop making. Some of Stella's recent work has included painting for My Neighbour Totoro at The Barbican, Spitting Image for Birmingham Reporatory Theatre and Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theatre. Stella is also a muralist and loves to paint large natural scenes, including under the sea murals.
